My friends Alan Weischedel and Danny Jordan are the sketch comedy team known as "Third String Kicker". Over the years, we've made many (i.e., too many to count) sketch comedy videos. Here are a few of my favorites! If you like these videos, check out the Third String Kicker channel on YouTube... there's hundreds more videos where these came from!

OTHER DELIGHTFUL WAYS TO PASS THE TIME

LEO'S LOVE(S)

Leo's Love(s) is a romantic comedy in the style of Woody Allen that follows Leo, a struggling writer doomed to write advertising jingles, as he meets and falls head over heels in love with Max, the girl of his dreams. Max is everything that Leo could want: she's beautiful; she's smart; she has a particular fondness for late 19th century poetry; and as an actress whose biggest role is portraying a dancing, chocolate sprinkled doughnut in a local commercial, she is very much a kindred spirit.

The only problem?

Leo is engaged to Rachel, a bi-polar spitfire with a penchant for violence through kitchen utensils.

DINNER FOR TWO:

I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS

Alan found himself with access to a wonderful restaurant set for 3 hours on an upcoming afternoon. We considered how to best avail ourselves of this great opportunity, and Alan came up with a concept. Amongst our group of creative friends, we'd partner up, and each team would write a short script. We worked on our scripts separately and independently of each other, and then all five teams arrived at the set on the designated afternoon. We filmed the scenes essentially as a "play"... in real time with each team each getting two takes.

The result is a series of five shorts, each existing under the umbrella "Dinner for Two". The only thing these shorts have in common is that they are all taking place at the same restaurant at the same time.

My partner Lincoln Hoppe and I wrote our entry entitled, "I'm So Very Sorry for Your Loss." In in, Janet expects Tom to propose marriage, but instead receives a cry for help.

Our short was Episode 5 in the five-part series... if you like ours, check out the other four shorts in the playlist! My friends all did a great job creating unique and enjoyable episodes of this series!
